Nice Hun riders apart from the shoulder-slung quivers – not appropriate. Only 2 horse poses, both walking. Haven’t seen the horse tails knotted quite like that before either, and what’s with the chopped manes? Pedantry aside, the horse poses are uninspired and limiting.

Design-wise, they’ve copied the plates from the Osprey “Attila and the Nomad Hordes”, which explains the fantasy/artistic license. The knotted horse tail probably came from Gorelik’s “Warriors of Eurasia” of a Xiongnu noble’s horse. Really not sure about that for your average “Joe-Hun”. And the chopped manes appear in both books for Xiongnu and Turkish heavy cav – again, having it for all horses looks interesting but “hmmm”.
Sorry for the extra pedantry but Huns are a pet fave, and these while being nicely sculpted, have some issues.
PS Where’s the edit button?

Paul,
I shall have to bow to your greater knowledge on the subject – I was just responding to the eye-candy, to be honest…
I never said this show was fair or objective

That’s okay. I’ll probably get hate mail for this anyway.
