Neil Shuck has been wargaming for more years than he would care to remember, having first discovered the joys of ‘gaming with toy soldiers’ in the early 1980′s.
Since then he’s dabbled in almost every genre/period: From Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Warhammer 40,000, through Warmachine, and including other rules such as the Two Hour Wargames series, Songs of Blades and Heroes series, Ambush Alley, Full Thrust, Stargrunt 2, Impetus, Too Fat Lardies and the various games based on the Warmaster Ruleset (BKC, CWC etc)
At the moment, Neil’s favourite rule sets are Ex Illis, Force On Force, Songs of Blades and Heroes (along with it’s various offshoots) and Impetus, and favourite genres are Sci-Fi, Modern, World War 2, Napoleonic, War of the Roses and Ancient Rome.
As to scale, he has played with virtually all scales from 1/600 through to 40mm, but these days he tends to regard 6mm as his ‘absolute favourite’.
In the last few years he has also become a very keen boardgamer, and now boasts a collection in excess of 250 board games, card games and expansions…
His favourite boradgames? Currently Commands & Colors: Ancients & Shogun.
