Download Episode 47

In packed and varied show this month, I chat about my recent visit to the Hammerhead show, and review the latest releases for Impetus and Uncharted Seas.

I’m joined again by Henry Hyde, and we discuss the latest issue of Battlegames magazine, Trafalgar from Warhammer Historical and the recent sale of Wargames Illustrated.

Finally, I chat to Colin Hagreen, one of the South London Warlords club, about the logistics of organising Salute.

Enjoy the show!

    Another great show Neil.

The Prussian Blue Incident was quite amusing, and one which we’ve all inevitably experienced at some time in the past or will at some time in the future (particularly as we get older)! Henry is excellent value.

A special thanks for the Extra Impetus review. It’s a set of rules that really has me intrigued, and any added info on its systems and supplements is appreciated.

Good luck with the Pete Berry Challenge – time’s almost up!

    🙂

    Cheers

Good luck with the Baccus challenge

  3. Your Battlegames link is broken..

  4. Another excellent show. I particularly enjoyed your talk with Henry. Between the two of you, you give a great indepth overview of the hobby in the UK, which is specially interesting when you live on the other side of the world, as I do.

Listening to your interview on the sheer scale of Salute made me so envious of you guys who can attend that show. I’ve never been to a show like that. I was hoping to come across this year, but unfortunately that fell through, and is really a raher slim chance in years to come. But I look forward to reports such as yours, which are the next best thing to being there!

With that in mind, might I suggest when you do you talk about Salute, you put any photos of the games you are talking about in order on your website. Then, perhaps you can tell listeners in your podcast when to click each time you move to talking about the next game. That way, we listeners from afar can see the games as you talk about them! Might be a bit much work to coordinate, but I throw out the idea for you to mull over!
