More Zombies – timing is everything…

51snc6kwvzl_ss500_Earlier this week, I finally finished World War Z, the masterpiece psuedo-history book by Max Brooks which recounts the ‘history’ of a worldwide outbreak of ‘Zombie Plague’ and it’s effects on mankind.

It’s an excellent book – highly recommended (although if you wish, you can always wait and see the upcoming movie, with a screenplay written by J.Michael Straczynski – he of Babylon 5 fame).

So, it was excellent timing for Two Hour Wargames to bring out their all new updated version of AllThings Zombie – Better Dead Than Zed – a must buy PDF.

Now, I know that there are many out there that don’t like Zombie games, but I must admit to being a huge fan.

With this purchase, plus the recent purchases of Ambush Z and Apocalypse Z, I feel another Zombie special show coming on…especially since my last zombie special podcast episode is one of my most popular downloads!

  1. World War Z is a great book, but check out the audiobook; it’s slightly abridged, but read by a full cast featuring Mark Hamill, Alan Alda, Henry Rollins, Carl Reiner, Rob Reiner, and Max Brooks himself. A great listen, and I highly recommend it.

  2. Hey Neil,
Great to chat with you at Salute. World War Z is awesome, have you read Max Brook’s Zombie Survival Guide? Some top tips for preparing for Z-Day. You have also been referenced in my latest blog entry (not that anyone reads it!)

    • Raggy

Great to meet you – what’s this? You’ve actually painted the minis you bought at Salute? That’s a very poor show. They should spend at least 12 months laid down in a box somewhere to ‘mature’ before painting! 🙂

  3. Hey,

Could you include some information about Better Dead than Zed in your next podcast? I am having a difficult time finding any information on it, and since I know nothing about it, that is a problem.

I am about halfway through WWZ, just need to find the time to finish it.

    • I’ll try and give it a quick once-over, but I’m hoping to fully-feature it in a future episode.

Too many rulesets and games to review! 🙂
