Meeples & Miniatures – Episode 52
Can you believe the summer is almost at an end? Everyone is planning for ‘going back to school’, England are preparing to finally lose the Ashes series – and I finally get to go away on holiday!
However, as a parting summer gift, I’ve uploaded Episode 52 of the Meeples & Miniatures podcast. This is a look back at what I’ve been doing over the summer – the UK Games Expo and Manorcon mainly – but with a bit of extra chat about my favourite Gen Con highlights (I almost felt like I was there) and even some chat about a computer game that would make a great miniatures game.
I hope you enjoy the show, and look out for lots of new content coming in September.

Hi, – Have listened to most of your podcasts – good stuff. You are not a D6 but thats what makes you good – keep going with your own style.
Went to the Steam web site as it sounded fairly intertesting. And for the fun of it ordered the xcom games – no problems; and I am not that computer literate.
The Xcoms are certainly o-l-d but failry easy to play, if the dam UFOs will let the Inceptors catch them.
I googled a manual for Xcom UFO Defence and have worked through most of the 134 pages! (it was bit like the old style Avalon Hill rules where a D6 is not a dice but a cubed random number generator from 1 to 6 inlcusive)
But am working through the game slowly. Though, even on easy the countries currently funding me are not too happy with me. A little more practice. A bit like chess with poor graphics.
Have trided the Xcom – terror from the deep – very similar to the first.
Thanks for your efforts – keep it going. Enjoy your holidays at the end of August

Niel, You’re most likely on vacation, but thought I would let you know, the episode is only fifteen minutes on my download from your feed.
