  1. Hey Neil,
Thanks for another great show. In reference to wargaming board v. hobby miniatures, I understand you exactly. My friend and I are starting to delve into a little WWII action. To this end we have been amassing 15mm Germans and Russians as well as various rule sets (Disposable Heroes, IABSM, TW&T and Nuts!) In the process of all the painting and rule reading we are itching for the gritty wargame experience. To the rescue with GMT’s Combat Commander. What a great game. A game that rewards tactical moves that fit within a flexible command strategy. Lots of fun and most games come down to the wire and wondering if passing the initiative card is such a good idea when the difference is 2 v.p. Needless to say there has been much painting (Russian infantry platoon for me, German for him) as well as lots of Combat Commander (24 games in the past two months!) I like the ability to throw down and start playing about half an hour after opening the box and still get home at a decent hour. Also just tried our first game of World at War by Lock and Load.
Keep up the great work on all of your products because I enjoy them all.
Posted to the BGG forum last time but I guess this is the place now!
    Happy gaming!

  2. Hey Neil –
I’m in the same boat when it comes to painting recently. For the past 6 months or so, I just can’t seem to get any momentum going with my various projects, and nights at the club I often find myself gravitating to the guys playing the latest boardgames versus the guys playing the latest wargames.

    Keep up the good work!
