Following on from the news of last week that Battlegame magazine was to close, this week brings more positive news:
“First of all, my profound thanks to everyone who has replied to last week’s announcement with messages of support, both direct to me and on forums. This has been, as I am sure you can imagine, an extremely stressful time for me, and it has been of great comfort to hear how much you all love Battlegames and appreciate the work that I have put into creating and producing the magazine.
Since breaking the news less than a week ago, I have received more than 1,000 emails, both via the website questionnaire and direct to me. As you can imagine, this has created something of an administrative blockage, but please rest assured that I am doing everything I can to process orders and respond to the preferences you have expressed.
In the meantime, however, I want to let you know that I am in negotiations with third parties aimed at providing a future for the magazine and I will advise you of the outcome as soon as I can. For the time being, however, I am unable to say more and would ask that you permit me a reasonable time to explore these avenues, particularly in regard to your ongoing subscriptions. I know that some of you were very upset at the prospect of losing your outstanding subs, and my aim is to see this brought to a satisfactory conclusion for everyone as quickly as possible.
Given the volume of emails that have already arrived, I would be grateful if you would be kind enough not to reply to this one! For urgent matters, however, I can of course be contacted in the usual way.
Best wishes and thank you for your support.”
