Status update on forthcoming Podcasts: May 2012

Just thought I’d give everyone a quick update on what is happening with podcast episodes.

I am just about to publish the last in my series of shows about Salute 2012. This will be a round-up show with Rich Jones, in which we will discuss some of our highlights from the day.

Episode 87 is ‘in the can’ and being edited at the moment. This episode has a slightly unusual recording history. It is another joint show with Rich Jones, and the first half was recorded over the Easter holiday, just after show 85. The show discusses the ‘Northern Fury’ expansion for Saga in more depth, and we talk more about some issues and questions raised by various people about the game.

The original intention was to release this just before Salute, but then GB announced the Skraelings, so we delayed the release of the show so that we could talk about those as well.

Episode 87 is due for release in Mid-May. I promise that episode 88 will have no mention of Saga in it…

The next few shows will include reviews of rules released at Salute, including Pike & Shotte, Empire of the Dead, Operation Squad: Modern Warfare and Muskets & Tomahawks.

I will also be releasing a new episode of View from the Veranda very shortly. Henry and I finally managed to get our diaries into alignment and met up to chat and catch up with each other. The result will be episode 8 of VftV, which I hope to have published in about a week.

  1. Promise us another VftV and you can do no wrong. No complaints about more Saga…. 😉

  2. Sounds good to me. 😉 Very much looking forward to the discussion about Salute2012 and of course the review of Pike&Shotte. I’m basically holding back on ordering the book until I get to hear your review of it.

More Saga, eh? No problem with that of course, it just means that the temptation to get that ruleset as well is prolonged. 😉 And another VftV? Most excellent. I started revisiting the episodes so far while painting.

Anyways, I think that we all have a lot to look forward to in May. 🙂
