Osprey Boardgames – The King is Dead

Osprey Publishing are just about to launch their very first boardgame. It’s called ‘The King is Dead’. It is set in Dark Age Britain after the death of King Arthur.

I have received a review copy of the game – I only managed to open it to have a quick look inside the other night. Hoping to get to play it in the next couple of weeks. However, the artwork and box contents look really good, and with only 4 pages of rules, the gameplay looks easy to pick up.

The box opens like a book, with some very nice inside artwork

  1. At a glance it reminds me of Kingmaker.

My thought was Britannia, which seemed to use the same map template as Kingmaker, but had similar areas on the map.
