Not the best start to the year…

You may have noticed that the podcast has had something of a false start in 2016.

I had hoped to release our end-of-the-year review show on New Year’s Eve, having recorded it on the 30th December.

We should have known better – We had a host of technical issues during the recording, mainly related to Skype constantly dropping the call (serves us right for trying to record so close to New Year – we just ran foul of the standard Skype bandwidth issues around that time)

Still, I had a long weekend to sort it all out and edit it…

…at which point I received an e-mail gently reminding me that I had yet to submit my column for Miniature Wargames magazine, and time to press was short.

Writing a 2,500 – 3,000 word article takes some time, and I ended up having to rewrite it twice…finally getting it submitted yesterday.

And then spent yesterday evening recording episode 163.

I am pleased to report that the diary is now clear, and editing can now resume on both episodes 162 and 163. 162 will be out as soon as possible, and 163 is due for release on the 15th January, but may be delayed by a couple of days.

Many apologies for the delay.

Hopefully this next bit of news will make up for it…Henry Hyde and I have been chatting and will  be recording a new View from the Veranda episode before the end of January (Assuming we get all our respective ducks lined up).

View from the Veranda for the win! Maybe you could cover if you guys never feel old in this hobby of ours? I turned 40 last year and it seems people are just getting younger and younger in the club.

Its a lot of ipads, and iphones and almost no armylists on paper or printed rulebooks anymore. Am I the only one left in Sweden? 😉

Make it a long one. I can listen to you and Henry chat for hours.

  3. Excellent news re VftV! Here’s hoping it sparks a renaissance for VftV in 2016. 🙂
