Only a handful Kickstarter projects caught my eye this week:
Timing is everything, and following the re-launch of a certain tabletop football game Willy Miniatures are looking to produce a Ratmen Fantasy Football team.
They are looking for a funding goal of 4,000 EUR, and have currently exceeded that by over 500%, and the project is running until 3rd January 2017. Delivery is due in February 2017.
Wryd Miniatures (the company who brought you Malifaux) are producing a new steampunk-themed game based in an alternate-earth with pre-assembled miniatures. The game is described as ‘company level’. From their KS blurb:
The game can be played with a variable number of Commanders, which changes both the size of the game and the time it takes to play. At the beginning of every game, the players decide how many Commanders they wish to use in the game.
In a one Commander game, each side will field forces of around 30 models, though this number varies based on the cost of the units chosen (Titans, for example, will lower the overall model count). Each of our Allegiance boxes contain all the models you need to play a full one Commander game!
In a two Commander game, each side will field forces of approximately 45 models, varying widely based on unit choices. A player who fields multiple Titans may find themselves with far fewer, while a player who focuses on cheap units may find they have more. At two Commanders, a game will take approximately two hours to play.
As you’d expect, this project has already smashed its $75,000 funding goal, and is running until the 21st January 2017. Delivery is due in December 2017.
If you want to pimp-out your game of Pandemic with some miniatures? Then this project is for you. Not-so-bored-games are looking to produce a set of plastic player pieces for this game.
They are looking for a funding goal of $52,000, and are almost 10% funded, with the project running until 13th January 2017, with delivery due in November 2017.
I thought I’d post this for Mike Hobbs, as he’s a big Traveller fan…
Traveller is a card game adaptation of Marc Miller’s classic Science-Fiction role-playing game. Players assume the role of ship Captains plying the mains of the Third Imperium.
Horizon Games are looking to produce this game. They have reached around 60% of their $35,000 funding goal, with the project running until 9th January 2017, wityh delivery due in July 2017.
