Hi Chaps,
Thank you for the mention of JJ’s Wargames in your coverage of OTH and the link to my review of the rules..
Those interested in playing them might be interested in the post on the Devon Wargames Group blog last month where we ran one of the Vimeiro scenarios originally produced for another set of rules I also use.
http://devonwargames.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/vimeiro-hill-over-hills.html
OTH are a very well crafted set of rules with the ability to tailor them to how you want to play your games, and you will see that they can cope with a good size game at an afternoon club meet up with all the advanced rules added in, because that’s the way we prefer to play them. As Adrian pointed out they really are designed to encourage you to keep a reserve, by use of the fatigue concept, and my experience is that that is the case and only encourages a more Napoleonic approach to playing the game.
I have posted the OTH Vimeiro scenario on JJ’s together with illustrations of the force morale record cards I produced for the game, with a link below.

The Vimeiro game has encouraged me in the opinion that OTH is capable of handling much larger battles and with my Talavera project reaching a finale with the “Afternoon Attack” scenario as part of Talavera 208 to be played at a figure scale of 1:30, I am keen to put them to the test this year, with a scenario briefing to follow.
Thanks again and I hope my blurb has added to your show content

Looks like it falls to the little white cat in the three cornered hat then…

(And the original reference to the gold Rolls Royce was at the 9 minute mark of episode 140 – To The Strongest.)
Cheers
We’ll try that again…
