Enjoyed this podcast – well done!
Just thought I’d say – I have played the first scenario several times solo. As the figures have set deployments, the only unknown is which building contains the princess. I deal with this by using an 8-sided dice (there are 8 buildings); when the heroes enter the 1st building then she will be in that one on a roll of one, in the 2nd building then on a one or two etc etc, until you find her. The earliest I have found her was building 3, the latest was building 6. Either way the tension mounts as you just play “as best” as you take each role – standard solo play really.
Not sure how the other scenarios will play solo, but I suspect they will be fine….between the clever game mechanics and the great stories this game just brims with atmosphere.
I think Mike W mentioned that Hadrathus teleported the princess – however she has an encumbrance value of 6 and he is unable to exercise teleportation if he has an encumbrance of 5 or more. Its easy to overlook these limitations but everything adds up, weapons, armour and even princesses slung over the shoulder. Sorry about that – it would be way too easy if he could just whisk her away like that!
