The Painting Tally: March 2018

March was a good month for painting, as I constructed and painted this entire terrain table for Test of Honour, which included over 4 feet of walls, corners and gates, a Temple Shrine, Temple Bell, Temizuya, Bridge, two ponds, several trees and a large Pagoda…

In that case, I didn’t manage to get any miniatures painted this month…

With the release of Star Wars Legion, it was always going to be a big month for miniature purchases…

Star Wars Legion: 64 Miniatures

Gangs of Rome: 5 Miniatures

Runewars Miniatures Game: 12 Miniatures

Test of Honour: 8 Miniatures

YTD Aggregate: -309

It looks like I have a lot of ground to make up in the coming months…

  1. Neil, I have faith – this is going to be the year, I can feel it. I can see the post of 31st December 2018 now, entitled “Lead Pile? What Lead Pile?”

    • The thing is John, I am really happy with the way my hobby is progressing at the moment.
OK, March has been dominated by terrain building – this Easter weekend is going the same way – but it is a means to an end as we then have the battlefield over which we are to fight built.
I have a schedule in my head, and I am somewhere close to it…
Ask me again at the end of April 😀

  2. Yes, it does look like you are doing some really good stuff – that Samurai set-up looks ace! And as you say, having a viable terrain set-up for miniature games is very important in getting these things to the table.

And anyway, this is The Third Task of Shuck – “Make sure there is sufficient terrain to go with every currently painted army.”
