Painting Tally – January 2019

January started pretty well, with #hobbystreak meaning that I was at least laying paint onto miniature most days in the month. However, it wasn’t quite enough…

Painted: 0

YTD Painted: 0

Didn’t quite finish those pesky Norman knights in time, though these are virtually guaranteed for next month!

Purchased: 222

January started off as a fairly frugal month, but several boardgame purchases (with miniatures that I intend to paint) as well as the start of a new project – ‘Rangers of Shadow Deep’ – ensured a massive influx of miniatures at the start of the year, which is never a good start!

Monthly Aggregate: -222

YTD Aggregate: -222

  1. It must be nice to know that you have done your yearly buying already Neil. You only have to improve your painting output by 50% and you can paint all of these by the end of the year…

  2. Neil simply didn’t want to put the rest of us off from keeping a tally. As a true gentleman, he set a standard that all of us can strive to match. I for one intend to start my own tally and will just as proudly proclaim “No miniatures painted!” for January. As for purchasing — hmm — when do you count a Kickstarter? I assume when they actually arrive since there is a chance that may be never!

There comes a time when you have to admit your real hobby is purchasing miniatures.

LOL at the other comments. 🙂 Thanks, they made me chuckle for real. 🙂

  5. Great start on the Normans though. Hopefully, this will inspire to start painting again as well.
