Painting Update – w/e 19th June 2020
My have managed to maintain my painting output in the last two or three weeks – nothing spectacular, but I have now finished my Undead army for Saga: Age of Magic by painting another 11 Zombies (it was 12, but I appear to have lost one somewhere!) so that my army can now feature a horde of 20 zombies as a single unit in S:AOM.
I have moved on to my next force for SAOM – I was going to paint Elves, but decided instead to revisit and re-purpose a force from many years ago. I am now painting a demonic warband, using miniatures which were originally produced for the game Ex-Illis.
I have painted some more Imps, plus a couple of Soffrance, which are lumbering, soul-less monsters in the Ex-Illis fluff, but can be used as some form of demon in Saga.
Next on the painting table are several units of Beastmen.
Great stuff Neill.
That’s good output. I have to admit that I get a bit of a kick out of that brown on the bases, because I use a very, very, very similar looking colour on many bases, and somehow I don’t see it that often.
Either way, looks like the force is shaping up nicely, and it’s good to see you make use of those Ex Illis figures. Listening to the podcast made evident how much you were into that system and how disappointing it was to see it getting ‘turned off’ (I guess in that case the expression fits), so it’s cool to see you using these figures instead of letting them catch dust in a box.
Thanks Sigur
Alas, the brown is a finite resource – I have been using Wilko ‘Java Bean’ emulsion, which they no longer sell. I am down to my last sample pot
Saga: AoM gave me a great way to use quite a few of the Ex-Iliis miniatures I had, especially since I had collected several units for a demonic army for that game – it will be nice to get them on the table, painted this time!
Looking great!
Those little demons look great! 🙂
I’d be worried about that missing zombie if I were you….it could be hiding under the bed..!!😬🧠
He has now been found! He was indeed under the bed!
